Fun game, hampered by the freemium model – Beat Street Review

I really enjoy the gameplay and love the art style. Unfortunately, it turns into a tedious grind if you’re not spending real money to progress. One huge frustration is the UI for the continue popup. It appears too quickly after game over and the “gems to continue” button is far too easy to tap accidentally. Honestly, I think it’s intentional. Regardless, it’s painful given how many gems continues cost. It wrecks any desire to keep playing, much less put money into the game.
