It’s OK but... – Pool Billiards Pro - Pool Game Review

So far it’s the most acceptable of all the 9-ball apps out there (not sure why everyone else makes a terrible one). This app is pretty straightforward. Pros: 1. Top-down view available (others are just 3D which looks cool but useless and difficult to play in) 2. Lighting is good (others apps have weird shadows and dark areas which make it difficult to see; or ads block the table so you can’t see the game behind the ad) 3. App shows where the cue ball might go after contact (some apps don’t have that feature, only where the ball getting hit is headed towards) 4. English or sidespin is available on the free version (thanks since it’s not even available on other apps) 5. To change the angle in your shot, there is a small “ruler/measure” available that you scroll up/down so that you don’t have to control your shot with only the tip of your finger while it covers the screen. 6. If the AI commits a foul, you can readjust the cue ball’s position easily and more than once so that your first position isn’t final (in other apps, once you place the cue ball, that position can’t be readjusted and you’ll have to shoot from that first placement. It’s difficult to see when placing it since your finger is also covering your view). Cons: 1. Game AI is ridiculously too good. 99% percent of the time when it’s the AI’s turn, they run the table and I’m only allowed one miss. About 25% of the time when the AI starts and breaks, I can’t even get a shot in since they make all the shots and I’m just left watching WITHOUT GETTING A SINGKE SHOT IN! EFFIN’ FRUSTRATING! 2. I feel that sometimes the physics is off. Either the ball is hit too hard or too weak, that’s it’s inconsistent with your previous shots. 3. ADS-galore!!! To even check the settings: advertisement! To check your player stats: ads! ads! ads! Yes, the app is free and the ads only have a 5-second minimum watch-time but I feel like it’s too many ads that are thrown at your face, and all that delaying is not worth the good gameplay that the app offers. While I think this is the “best” available one, the AI being too close to playing perfect is what caused me to delete this game and to keep looking for a better, free 9-ball game app.
