Played since start, regret it now – Art of Conquest : Airships Review

I have played this game since it started, I am max level, leader of a large House and a top 10 account on the 17-33 segment. There was a time when I would recommend this game, but sadly the only reason I continue playing is to chat with the people in my House, and I would hate to see anyone else waste their time or money on this game. Specifically, the monetization of runestones for the Temple has made any gap between us and the whales into a chasm. It would take years and years to gain the advantage whales will get by spending thousands of dollars to obtain runestones to gain massive stat advantages. There is no catching up, even spending hundreds of dollars won’t get you there, runestone acquisition rates absent the thousands spent is so low and the number needed so high that whales will have 100% bonuses to their troops and garrisons while it will take several years for us to acquire the same. They do just enough to leave a glimmer of hope that maybe the content is meant to actually make the game better overall, but they consistently turn that into a blatant and conspicuous cash grab. Lilith has no interest in the low to moderate spender, so they will get bored, get massacred, or just get tired of the favoritism, and they will quit. And then the whales won’t have anything to do other than win events, and we will see how long that holds their attention. Terrific concept that has gone so terribly pay to win that I have a hard time feeling any hope about the long term future. And it really is too bad, the game has such promise.
