What a Shame... – Daily Random Facts Review

I actually really like this app and I was enjoying the use of it. That is until I opened the settings to see if I could pay to get rid of ads and change my background, and yeah you can pay to do just that, but the prices are offensive! Why should I have to subscribe monthly or pay $60 US dollars to be able to just get rid of ads and change my background! That’s outlandish and unheard of as far as I’m concerned. Yes, I’m aware you also get more facts with the premium package and can now set up to 20 reminders a day! As if anyone would want to receive 20 notifications a day with random facts. At that point you may as well just open the app and read 20 facts! It’ll save you time and apparently $60 bucks as well! I rarely go off on a rant in one of my reviews but I was truly thrown back when I went into the settings of this app and saw what it would cost to be able to do something as simple as get rid of ads and change a background! Keep your 20 reminders a day and your “extra” facts, and give us an actual fair priced one time fee to be able to do these two basic things! It’s a great app with a lot of potential, but unfortunately it’s being overshadowed by the greedy asking prices for an app about random facts! Seems like it’s becoming a trend where too many great apps are being ruined by these extremely high subscription prices they’re asking. I’m not even against monthly subscriptions, or yearly fees even, if the asking price is right for what’s being presented, but this app along with many others in the App Store lately, are asking way too much for what’s being given, but hey that’s just my opinion. Feel free to look at these prices and formulate your own.
