Great app but lacking for me. – Done: A Simple Habit Tracker Review

If you’re OK with having to open the app every time you want to see your habits and/or check them off; then this is one of the best habit tracking apps out there that doesn’t make you pay for a subscription. More below: This is a great app for tracking habits, and I have tried nearly everyone of them available in the App Store. I like the visual design, the ease of customizing the tasks, and the reporting features. I really appreciate that the free trial is enough to give you a good feel for the app, and that the one-time upgrade pricing is completely reasonable and fair. This product obviously has had a lot of work put into it. Five dollars is a bargain for something this nice that could potentially change your life for the better. I am not going to use the app right now for two reasons. One is the lack of an Apple Watch app (not a big deal, but competitors have it and it’s nice to have). The second, which is the deal breaker for me, is no widget for the today screen. I reference my today screen regularly throughout the day, and I specifically want apps of this type (i.e. souped up task-lists I reference multiple times a day) to allow me to view and interact with my data without having to alway open the app. I’ll be using the AppZap service to monitor for updates to this app so if the developer adds a widget & Apple Watch app I can try it again.
