Snyc Inconsistent, App Not Intuitive, Case Is A Nuisance – One Drop: Better Health Today Review

Meter looks great, but everything is cheap plastic. It doesn’t keep its Bluetooth connection to my iPhone 8. I have to re-pair it every three or four days. There is no way to know if it will connect or not until you’ve pricked your finger and put your blood on the test strip. Only then do you discover if it’s going to connect this time or not. I thought the case was impractical from the pictures, but I was willing to give it a try. It’s bulky and the meter and strips and lancet sometimes slip out and roll around in my briefcase when I travel around town and around the country. There is also no place to carry lancets or alcohol strips in it, which makes it even more impractical. It all looks good, but the cheap plastic, bulky and very impractical case, and an unintuitive app demonstrates that looks and form in both the meter and app have taken priority over function and ease of use. The app looks good, but is unintuitive. This morning I had to take my meds early and I couldn’t find any way to log that I took them early. I had to wait for the notification prompt at the scheduled time to log taking my meds. In addition, the social function is creepy. I don’t want to see faces of strangers in my app along with their test results and other info. It’s very creepy, and doesn’t inspire me. There is no way to turn it off either. Very creepy. In addition, my first shipment of test strips didn’t instill confidence. When I opened the shipping packaging the box containing the test strips was already wide open and unsealed. I didn’t have confidence that the strips were untampered with or that they were uncontaminated. To their credit One Drop sent me replacement test strips free of charge. I’m glad I only paid $10 for the meter and the whole start-up kit. I wanted to like this a lot, but it has too many frustrations for me to highly recommend it in its current stage of development. If One Drop continues to develop its products and deals with these problems, then this has potential to be a good product and system.
