Good , with massive potential, but incomplete... – Injustice 2 Review

This game (in console) is one of the best fighting games I’ve seen , regarding graphics, gameplay, variety of content and it’s addictive nature. Translation to mobile is almost there. The controls and graphics are amazing but.... The good: Like I mentioned above, the graphics and visuals are straight up amazing! The frame rates and the fast paced gameplay and fluid animations really keep me playing for hours. There can be some bugs here and there when blocking for example, but nothing major here. The arena can be really competitive, and having the ability to choose your opponent is a really good idea since you want to maximize your chances of winning to rank up , or just search for a much stronger opponent to test your team’s strengths and abilities. The challenges repeat pretty often which gives you the chance to get good characters in the first few weeks of playing. If you are a daily player, you can complete the heroic stages of campaign and gain some shards to keep upgrading your heroes. The bad: The shard system to get characters is interesting, but sometimes you can see the loot box gambling screaming at your wallet. The percentages to get good drops on premium chests are straight garbage.. and the reward system in raids ,even after the last update, is still very frustrating and underwhelming considering the very high price of those raid exclusive characters and the difficulty of higher raids. 1)The story mode is literally incomplete. The cinematics and characters are there but they release fragments or chapters of the campaign every 2 updates I think, and they release the updates every 3 months so... if you downloaded the game in hopes of getting a good campaign experience, you might be disappointed. 2) They have a really sofisticated multiplayer ranking system with divided arenas .. which I honestly don’t know what it means because they haven’t explained it. It is really inconsistent, some people say they can rank up really easily thanks to the arena they are in, while other players say that they can’t even get 100 shards of the current character event. Plus the interface is really slow. 3)The stores either on multiplayer or in the main menu have a really outdated interface. Also some offers in the store don’t make any sense. Why offer 60 shards of 2 gold heores which both appear in challenge mode? Plus multiplayer character offers are very expensive. I prefer farming 4 times 100 shards than paying $30 for a 3 star card which may take a while to make it useful. 4) Operations haven’t seen a change since lauch and neither have the daily missions and objectives. 5) There should be more ways to get gear reforge tokens since they are so rare, rather than charge 225 gems for just 13 of them along with some gear material , which later turns rare and expensive when upgrading higher level gear. In conclusion, this game has a lot of potential.. but has a very long way to go. The prequel (Injustice: Gods Among Us) it’s still a better game overall, which gives the newer player much better odds of success and its more welcoming with a bigger roster, and a much better free-to-play environment.
