Site is great. App is trash – StumbleUpon Review

Like so many other reviewers, I love the SU website. It’s amazing to me how bad this app is though. Let me count the ways. 1) Sponsored stumbles. Look, i get it. It’s a free app and they gotta make money somehow. I’m TOTALLY on board with the idea of sponsored stumbles. But if I dislike a sponsored stumble, why do i have to see the same sponsored stumbles literally every time I open the app? And why is it that like every 4th or 5th stumble is a sponsored stumble? I’m trying to look at dank memes, not learn about all of the hidden places in Bulgaria that i need to see before i die. I’d be willing to pay for a version with no sponsored stumbles, but... 2) Like everyone else has pointed out, half the time the sites stumbled don’t load at all. And if they do load, it’s some combination of taking forever and being incompletely loaded. 3) Originally i couldn’t think of a third thing. I got one now tho. Ever sometimes be chilling in the sauna at the gym or grabbing a bite to eat at your local Taco Bell and you think “Hey now would be a good time to stumble, let me check out some photography” and then out of nowhere you stumble a portrait of a naked woman with big breasts and someone sees you like “wtf is this creep doing?” Stumble photography / portraits at your own risk
