Horrible AI – Space Arena: Spaceship Game Review

It’s enormously frustrating to watch your units fly randomly and warp into seemingly useless spots mid fight. Watching your ship shooting missiles up the back of another, only to warp away out in front of them with your own back exposed... what is that? Drone units seem to lack even the most basic common sense and will casually fly front and center of the enemy and sit in the crossfire until they are destroyed a few seconds later... if they are in the fight at all. Many times I’ll watch the drones start the match, close the gap between the ships, then keep on going off the screen and not return. Just really sloppy game mechanics, it’s a fun distraction to play for a while but “strategy” is completely useless and subject to the randomness of the game. Even the most powerful ships fall to vessels several levels lower sometimes... its infuriating.
