How do we enable those missing colored blocks – Lep's World Z - Zombie Games Review

Help!!!! This game is really cool and I enjoy it but did I miss something in the intro? Because in some of the levels, I can’t get to a star because of the missing colored blocks and I have no clue to enable the blocks. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
