Horrible! – Moods: Mental Health Tracking Review

This app could be great but it’s great ideas are just wasted, making for a very frustrating mood tracker! You can not go back and edit anything, so if you make a mistake or forget to add something there’s no way to go back and fix it. The app allows you to select words detailing how you feel during your entry, however it’s completely pointless because once you submit that entry, it just clumps it all together with every other entry for that week! So if you noted felt “tired” on Monday and “nervous” on Wednesday, there is no way to look back at which day you noted each feeling, it’ll just all be listed together in one huge clump. What’s the point of tracking my mood and feelings if I can’t see which days I noted each specific detail? It doesn’t even show how many times you report feeling a certain way, for example if you selected “tired” for how you felt three days out of the week, the app will only list it once, so you can’t track the fact you were tired three days this week. What’s the point of that? The app is supposed to help track your mood and feelings, yet it does not give you any specific details at all when you look at your history. All you get is a list of the detailed words you chose such as “tired” or “anxious” but then just clumps them all together without showing you which days you noted what or even how many times you felt a certain feeling over that day or week. Pointless! Another huge complaint is they give you the common traps one can fall into and allow you to select them from a list. I was most excited about this feature, however fitting in with the common theme of this app, it’s completely pointless and a wasted feature. Once you select the traps you’re falling into from the list, you never see it again! There is no mention of the traps you selected anywhere in your history. How am I supposed to track if I’m improving or not if I can’t see the past traps I’ve selected and be able to compare them to the present ones I’ve selected? The app also only allows you to select traps one time per day instead of each time you log your mood. So if you log your mood three times a day, you’ll only get to select traps the first time. I sometimes feel different about which traps I’m struggling with in the afternoon compared to the morning or evening so being able to select them each time is important. I’m also finding the app is only allowing me to view notes from when I said I felt bad. Other days I’ve logged my mood I have also left notes, but there is no option to go back and read notes I wrote for when I said I felt okay. As it stands now, this app is completely pointless. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If the app were updated to show better information, I’d definitely give it five stars cause the concept here is awesome, it’s just not executed well at all. If I could give zero stars, I honestly would. I’m extremely disappointed with this app. I really hope they update it with improvements, but as it is right now I’m deleting and finding a new mood tracker.
