Interesting – EPHEMERAL -The residents in the dark- Review

I bought all four characters. After reading them all I think the thing that impressed me the most was the detail to the world and the heroine’s backstory being both impressive and intriguing. (OH ALSO! If you pay $$$ for storylines they have a bug. All you need to do is go to restore and enter your password. The storylines load then.) Shiba (Werewolf) Shiba was the person I was most attracted to as his looks and style most appealed to me. I also liked that the first thing he did upon meeting the heroine was defend her. His romance part was my favorite story as he is cute and dorky. However, I was unimpressed by his lovers route. For some reason it seemed mundane compared to the romance route. All in all I give his story is good. Romance Route: 5/5 Lovers Route: 3/5. Nagi (Invisible Man) I sincerely appreciated Nagi’s kindness and the support the two gave each other as the story progressed. Nagi’s storyline and future give the romance route an interesting spin and his lovers route is interesting as well. I like that his story reveals the heroine’s personality and past naturally. However, his story is a little bittersweet so it may not appeal to everyone. Romance route: 5/5 Lovers Route: 4/5 Ray (Vampire) Considering that they didn’t do a Twilight reference I guess I have to give them credit for that. (Lol) I was pleasantly surprised by Ray’s story. I expected it to be entirely vapid considering his obsession with beauty but at points it was cute and kind. I’m not entirely happy with the fact that he still calls the heroine a possession at points but the storyline makes a point about this so I won’t touch on it too much. The way they deal with the heroine’s personality is a little rough but makes sense in the end. All in all decent story. Romance Route: 4/5 Lovers Route: 4/5 Natsume (Mummy) This is the story I am simultaneously most offended by and most impressed by. The relationship constantly teeters on the side of dangerously abusive at points but the underlying storyline manages to make you look past it. There is also some attempts at points for Natsume to fix his faults but I think the issue needs to be pressed more considering how dangerous the thought pattern is. I fear what people might think of relationships if they come to accept Natsume as being a standard. Your boyfriend saying that he’ll kill people close to you is a big warning sign that he may be dangerous. I think they broach upon this a bit in the lovers Route but not enough. However the storyline is intriguing and this obsession is my only complaint for Natsume. Romance Route: 3/5 Lovers Route: 4/5
