Advertisement Galore – Weather - The Weather Channel Review

The app tells me the weather, which is what it’s designed for. So that works. I don’t care for the video section at all. Not because I’m uninterested but because of the hassle to WATCH the video. First, you have to watch a 30 second long ad just to watch a 15 second video. The titles aren’t exactly the greatest either, they make it sound way more interesting than it really is. So once you finally make it through the 30 second ad for you 15 second video, you’re left with much disappointment. What better way to get over the disappointment than to watch a different video with a cool and crazy title. Wait, 30 more seconds of ads...but guess what, you’re video is a whopping 22 seconds this time! Then, just like the first one, you’ve now wasted 52 more seconds of your life. You’ll never get those 52 seconds back, all because of an ad and a misleading video title. I like a few of the videos that are posted which is why I keep suffering through so many ads and bad titles. It’s like a diamond when you finally find a good one though. I get the app needs ads to stay updated and running, but i feel like shorter/longer ads based on duration of the video would be better. Heck, at this rate I’d be fine if there were ads every few videos rather than EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
