SUPERB APP! Just a few things though... – The Homework App Review

OK, so I want to start off by saying that this app is superlative! I am the type of person that enjoys testing out various apps for productivity and organization. I’ve tested this particular one with myHomework and My Study Life. This one definitely beat it out of the park because of the beautiful interface that is made after the iOS 11 update, and it is so intuitive, and it makes me feel like this is an Apple app because of the similarities in the text and simplicity. I love all the features in the app, basically all of them, and one particular one is just how lovely it looks which makes me want to come up to this again and again. Definitely give this app a go if you’re looking for a free homework planner! This also works good without the boost which cost only $6.99 , which brings me to... OK so first of all I’m not quite sure if that is a yearly subscription or a one time lifetime purchase and I am seriously confused about that. Because if this is a yearly subscription then I personally don’t think the boost is worth it. I only upgraded for the subtasks and the instructors feature. The subtasks feature works well, but I love having the little details to break down my biggest assignments and projects. However I feel like going into edit mode of the task and then viewing the sub task from there is quite of a strenuous process just to view the sub task itself, if y’all lazy bums will understand what I mean. I would suggest that maybe if you can double-click the task and then the subtasks would come up. Additionally I really do enjoy the percentage which motivates me to complete the assignment . And I use the instructors feature and once when I tried to email my teacher from the app itself, it said something like “looks like You haven’t added a mail account yet “which is quite confusing. I think it’s because I use Gmail and not the standard mail app that the iPhone comes preinstalled with. I would greatly appreciate if the app supported Gmail, and that I could write the email from the app itself, or that it would directly take me to the mail app and The email address written already. How I cannot email the teachers from the app makes me feel like the boost was not worth it. And one really minor thing is that when I go into the app newly, then it shows like I have no tasks and I am just getting started for a few seconds, and then my personal tasks and stuff comes on. It’s one thing that I find slightly annoying, but it is super minor.Personally if you really don’t care about subtasks and all that then the boost is not worth it in my opinion. For me what prompted me to buy the upgrade was the subtasks, which was my main purpose. Overall, this is and will hopefully continue to be my best homework planning app, and everything is good about it! Literally everything, except for the few listed things that aren’t a huge problem, and they are no reason not to download the app. All I would say is the booster may not be worth it if you don’t really care much for subtasks and instructor contact info since you can recieve that from other sources as well. But overall really superb app and it has helped me so much, and it is recommended by me. ~Signed, MeMe
