Stabilization Issues on iPhone X? – Boomerang from Instagram Review

When moving the phone while recording a Boomerang on an iPhone X, the boomerang comes out warped and unstabilized. The standalone app becomes unusable because of this issue but the problem does not occur when using Boomerang inside of Instagram. Weird.
