Rip-off – The Mercury News for Mobile Review

This app is terrible. Unusable. Cannot get any content at all. We subscribe to the print edition and they have decided it is mandatory if you subscribe to print that you also pay for online, but online does not work at all. If I had a choice I would not pay for the online edition. I am considering canceling print as well. It is very expensive and poor value for money. Price keeps going up year over year. Update: 12/20/17: The app seems to work now. But it starts playing sound all on its own. Infuriating. I cannot read in privacy because there is no way to shut off or prevent ads from sounding off. The Merc has nerve charging us for online access.
