Pause the game when not playing! – TerraGenesis - Space Settlers Review

It’s a really great game, if slow paced and intellectual instead of fast paced. It’s also a fairly challenging game, even on beginner settings. One tip: tempting as it might be to let your colonists alone to earn money while you don’t pay attention to it, if you’re going to ignore it for any length of time (overnight, or the Thanksgiving holiday, to name some random and completely not-personal examples) then pause the game. Your colonists will thank you.
