Where is the update? – Language Lab Review

I can’t believe a company as big as McGraw Hill hasn’t updated and fixed all the bugs in this app. Let me tell you guys what’s going on the consumer side. I bought a complete set of books to learn French with the incentive YOU SOLD ME when advertising a fantastic app to work along with the books. I thought, hey this will be great! I will have audio to play for all the vocal I’ll be learning. Great!...Not so much. I am extremely disappointed with the app. For the following reasons. 1) The app is so outdated it borders on vintage. It looks clunky, feels clunky and works...clunky. 2) The record function doesn’t work. The app crashes in one of the most vital parts of learning a new language. 3) The screen that shows you how well you’ve done is so cheesy I can’t even begin to talk about it. Just look at other apps like Duolingo for reference on how it should be done. Skip the classical music fireworks and get to the point. 4) The vocabulary flash cards are nice but oh wait, there’s no audio! So I will learn how to write the words but not pronounce them. Awesome. Seriously, whoever developed and designed this app is clearly not up to date on modern techniques. This is extremely disappointing for someone who is trying to learn a new language and wants a system that hits all the areas except real life conversation. Honestly, I don’t know how a big company like this is even ok allowing an app like this to represent their name. Sadly, I can’t return the books.
