Stat update – GameChanger Classic Review

BABIP?!?! Completely useless stat for a team that uses GC and just clutters the stat line. BABIP requires a very lengthy period of time to stabilize as a statistic. As a result, BABIP for both pitchers and hitters tends to be volatile (i.e., subject to substantial random variation from year-to-year). wOBA would have been a much more useful and fun stat. Waste of resources.
