Stars dropping again – Bubble Island 2 - Shooter Game Review

Yet another update that promises new levels (after a ridiculously long wait) and yet another time there are no new levels. I used to love this game, but these people cannot get it together. - - - - - The developers response was quick and they did fix the problem. The new Fourth of July quest is awesome. I hope we get many more of these. They're a great way to fill the time between new level updates. I do enjoy this game. I've experienced a lot of frustration with how it's managed but I do have to say they're very fair with ads, there are ways to succeed without spending endless cash, and they've found a good balance between skill and luck. Let's hope the new levels and challenges keep coming. ------------- Does anyone have any rational, sane explanation as to why the new city is not accessible for play? I have completed all old levels at three stars each. But I still cannot open Miami. Did they actually just released levels that are not playable? On purpose? Or have my frequent complaints both here and in other social media singled me out to receive a (ha ha ha) unplayable new city? Either way I'm starting to hate this game. I'm giving up and deleting. --------- New levels come very, very slowly. Today I was excited to see an available update which promised 30 new levels! Updated only to discover there were no new levels at all. It was probably a bug fix update and they just forgot to change the description. Who knows how long we'll have to wait this time. Rovio manages to add new levels to all their games weekly. Not sure why these guys find it so challenging. Based on the error in the update description today I'm assuming it's just general apathy. ------ They have raised the number of lives and I am raising the stars accordingly. Now I just wish we could consistently get rewarded when we watch an ad video. We have to spin a wheel, and often the "reward" is so useless it was pointless to have watched the ad. That said, I really enjoy this game. It's really just a variation of a bubble shooter, but what a great variation. Very unique and challenging. Old review --------- I enjoy the game, but even the most Machiavellian games pushing in-app purchases give you at least 5 lives. The annoyance of that takes a lot of the fun out of it. Some levels are so challenging it takes multiple attempts. Getting a few tries and then being forced to put it down is just ridiculous. Why bother at all?
