This is a no brainer. – Kauldron Synthesizer Review

Update: I can see where I’m not getting much sleep tonight! (and I didn’t lol) After hearing Yonac’s teaser for Kauldron last week I kept checking the App Store at least daily for it. Spawn 2 is really good in Kauldron. Ohhh man❣️ Too Much❣️ I was looking to make a “Deep Space” sound texture and using the start-up preset, I spawned it. Though interesting, wrong direction. Re-spawned it. Kept that for future use. lol This time I used Xpert leaving everything at the default 50% setting and spawned for a third time (hmmmm, the same thing as on Basic?) Quickly reaching for Kauldron’s output volume, reducing it substantially. Not so much because it was too loud but because the frequencies were at the resonance of the room my 7.1 sound system is in. The room started shaking and I started laughing out loud. Kauldron’s potential audio output can be over powering, just like my Waldorf Pulse 2 hardware synth can at times. You can damage equipment if you don’t use the proper precautions. This is the real deal here! (To the reviewer that says Kauldron has no personality or oomph like the Model 15. They couldn't be more mistaken IMHO. I have both the Model 15 (I made my very first 20 minute ambient recording with the Model 15 when it first was released) and Zeeon, and any other worth having synth app, and Kauldron does, indeed, play with the big boys! If you’re using only one analog synthesizer for your analog needs then you’re missing A LOT!). No two synths are the same and you can’t judge a synth by features alone. I’d like to see the oscilloscope back and displayed on the Pads screen. Spawn 2’s AI preset generator can be a key part of your musical creation if you want. Evolve a pattern with successive ‘Cumulative’ spawnings. Or shake it up a bit and throw in a ‘Persistent’ or two spawns. Not getting what you want still? Then shake it up with a ‘Random’ spawning or two. Now consider this. You can spend considerable time spawning all sorts of crazy new rhythms and presets with Kauldron’' Spawn 2 feature, yet it comes with over 900 of them❣️ ?, which you can spawn❣️? lol I can play these virtual circuits like the real thing. Get them pulsing and resonating. Fine adjustments can be made via the two, large pads. Another fantastic synth with lot’s of personality from Yonac, as one comes to expect. Kauldron along with KASPER are quite engaging to work with. I have had some very interesting results using the Senode sequencer feeding into Kauldron via MIDI. Right now I have created an AUM session with channels 1-3 for Kauldron, Magellan and KASPER❣️ Then the fourth channel has Master FX and AltiSpace for now. Channel five is the file playback so I can record and play it back while Kauldron is playing, feeding it back into itself. There literally seems to be no limit to the sounds I can create with Kauldron. I look forward to some more amazing ‘sonic’ adventures with Kauldron. It’s already earned the rite to be on my coveted home screen❣️?? Thank you at Yonac❣️?? ------ One, a new synth. Two by Yonac. Three, it's on sale!
