Updated review 10/19/17 – Stratego® Battle Cards Review

As other reviewers stated, app freezes mid gameplay during opponent’s turn in single player mode. Have to force close the app. UPDATE - Freezing seems to only occur when playing single player, 1 Star difficulty (beginner). Have yet to experience freezing while playing single player, 3 Stars difficulty (normal). As far as I can tell, the only difference between the (2) available difficulty levels is that, in the 1 Star mode, the opponent’s cards stay face up once they’ve been revealed. It makes the game too simple, but helps you learn the game’s mechanics. You’ll need to play the 3 Stars difficulty for actual challenge as you need to remember what you saw. Purchased version 1.09 on 10/04/17. Was deceived by current version as it said, “updated 11 min ago”. Assumed game had been fixed considering other reviews were older. UPDATE - Version update now shows “updated 1 year ago”. Will provide an updated review if/when game is fixed. UPDATE - Game has yet to be fixed, but have learned that freezing doesn’t occur when playing 3 Stars difficulty. Have yet to experience any problems while playing 2 player mode (either difficulty level).
