Very worthwhile despite a few quirks – Word Fireworks: Learn Korean! Review

At first I wasn't sure if I liked this app because there were a few things that made it difficult, such as the answers overlapping so the wrong one accidentally got pressed, and it took some practice to get the hang of the fire works launchers, and if you try to write too fast sometimes it doesn't register the strokes. But, despite that I still like this app a lot. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to use. I have learned the whole Korean alphabet in just a few weeks. The explanations are good, and it has pronunciations in two different voices. If you skip a day, it gives you a review session. You get practice recognizing, writing, and listening to letters/sounds. The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five stars is because of technical issues. On chapter 2–15 the app froze on me and I had to reinstall it, losing all my stats. I was able to skip ahead to chapter 2 but I am having to redo all the lessons in chapter 2. Luckily I can skip the explanations and go right to the practice. Overall, I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who wants to learn Korean. It is very worthwhile to know the Korean alphabet instead of using romanization translations, because it is not always clear in the romanization where the syllable breaks are. My pronunciation is definitely better because I am using this app.
