The rise of Adware – Othello - The Official Game Review

All the cosmetic changes in the world can't fix greed. Clever to license the actual Othello brand but it is ultimately just an ad-server for the (formally) enjoyable game of iturnstones. The thing is I'd pay to remove ads. I do that with a number good apps and I understand this supports the developer. Both for the users willing to tolerate intrusive ads and those that will pay to clear them. But it is a single transaction. You make the program ad free and I willingly pay. But this developer has become the grasping money junkie we are seeing everywhere. Ad-free isn't a transaction, it's a subscription. There is nothing else gained from giving the developer support. You have to pay a fee to be ad-free on a recurring basis! My eyes are held hostage on a subscrition basis. That is developer greed, not app development. This is the way it works, pay once for ad-free and transaction complete. We go our seperate ways. Since you are not, you are demanding my custom on a regular repeating basis, you break that faith. I take my business elsewhere. App deleted.
