Much better search. – Boiler Room Review

However it doesn't really differentiate between the genres, it shows more listings but it still more of the same and when I search for "punk" DJs come up. I would like to see some true punk rock be listed when I do that search. I'm not complaining about the quality of the DJs or of the techno or of the garage and other underground, it's all very good and a lot of it very interesting. It does help me find the techno and DJ's but I'm looking for a rock and Punk. But it's a good start. I would say what would make this app more complete would be to include the hard-core punk genre but I suppose that would require sending people to shows with a GoPro. If I had one I would offer to film some things. But there are a few real good Punk and rock acts here, maybe the search can be tweaked a little bit so when we search for "rock" or "punk rock" it would point to those things that you do have first, then after listing those it would list the related acts that are underground. I appreciate the definition of "underground" that is being defined it through this app, but it would be great to find some of the classic punk rock acts who might still have their original members, and feature a few of those because they were here at the beginning of the new way of explosion which birthed the modern era of underground music. =====>Previous review, left just to show the difference<======= my review has magically vanished again. But I will add one more star to my review because of the response. But now I'll remove those because my new review has disappeared again. My issues with this app where with the search engine which didn't seem to be very effective. Also with their listing of genres, things that were Punk came up under Rock, other bands were inappropriately listed in wrong genres. Need a musicologist to help sort this out. I could probably help with some of the content but I'm not familiar with some of the New entries. What we need is a better search engine for the whole app. There is a lot of content in here, some of that local to me. There is a Boiler Room up in Temecula, we played up there with The Weirdos about a year ago. I didn't know this was a multi national group of clubs. I have audio of my bands from that show, maybe some of The Weirdos too, so I would offer that to this app but it is audio only. I saw an archive show from that Temecula location in this app which was pretty great for me to see, a local punk show. I tried to respond to the developers from the email they sent, but there was no way to do it. I had offered to help them straighten out their genres, but they say that the problem is in their search engine and if they fix it I will eventually give a higher rating. I am just going to make a copy of this review in case it magically disappears again.
