As a MT:G fan, I'd give it 10 stars if I could! – Lost Portal CCG Review

Man, this game. For years, YEARS I tell you, I've wanted a Magic: The Gathering RPG where you fight battles with a CCG-style card deck. For those of you old enough to remember there was a game for PC in 1997 called Shandalar that was exactly that concept. Sadly it never got a follow up. Enter Lost Portal. While it may not be MT:G exactly, you can tell that it is heavily (and I mean heavily) influenced by the Wizards of the Coast juggernaut. The mechanics are instantly familiar. Draw cards, play aeons *cough* mana *cough*, cast creatures & spells, kill your opponent, rinse, repeat. But that isn't even the half of it! Lost Portal also has some fun and engaging RPG elements to it like a skill tree that alters and improves game mechanics in your favor (be careful though, your opponents can benefit from the same skills) and quests/quest rewards. I LOVE this game. Like, this is the CCG game I've been waiting for since, oh, about 1998. It's a shame that there is a one-star review from someone who clearly doesn't understand how a CCG works, as it spoils what should otherwise be a resounding 5-star rating here on the App Store. The only potential negative is that there is no multiplayer (so no PvP). But this game is so clearly a single player RPG that I don't count that against it at all. If you want multiplayer/PvP, play MT:G. If you are a fan of CCG's and role playing games, you owe it to yourself to spend the $2 buck on this game. And that's another thing: $2 bucks?! That's a STEAL! I'd honestly have paid $10 for an amazing CCG in today's App Store that doesn't abuse me with free-to-play nonsense. Buy Lost Portal Now.
