Shopping list not user friendly at all – Winn-Dixie Review

I use grocery store apps for one main purpose: to create a shopping list based on weekly sales. Although this basic function exists in this app, it has two major flaws: 1. There is no way to automatically remove expired sale items from your list. You must do it manually item by item which is tedious, made even more complicated by the fact that the expiration dates are only viewable by opening the item first. So multiple clicks and analysis just to delete something no longer on sale. 2. Any digital coupon you save will clutter up your shopping list in a fully expanded, full view form. If you are like me, you clip any digital coupon you might remotely use in case you pick it up. But that doesn't mean you want those hundreds of coupon items on your shopping list to clutter up what you are going to the store for on any particular shopping trip. The Publix app probably has the best compromise in terms of usefulness of feature v. clutter: it adds coupon items to your shopping list but in a clickable, closed line item. So if you want to see whether a coupon item is in your aisle, you have that option. But otherwise it does not distract from your weekly list.
