Fun but FRUSTRATING!!! – Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf Review

Get this game if you have a digital "tabletop" gaming itch. It's very fun and very challenging. After experiencing the polish the dev's put into the game, you will want to fork over some cash for the experience. ... but don't. Because after you play for a while and really start enjoying the game, you'll suddenly hit a HUGE pay wall, where you can literally only progress farther with better armors, squad mates, and of course better cards. Thing is, credits are hard to come by in the game, and every upgrade costs thousands. Then there is the forge, which is your main way of getting better cards and which I can best describe as abusive. Only forging on Hard and Extreme difficulty will get you decent cards that will may actually help you, but the developers lie about the odds. Basically, it's a Gacha or slot machine-type mechanism, where you're guaranteed nothing of value and will often find yourself feeling horrible after you literally threw away thousands and thousands of weapon parts (that took you hours to collect in-game at great effort) for absolutely nothing. Really. I'm talking about frequently failing to create ANYTHING 9 or 10 times in a row, at 250 parts per try, and "supposedly" a 25% success rate. Then the one time you succeed, you wind up creating a junk uncommon card, then it's back to another long failure streak. Stay away from this game. Until they do something about the forge, you can rest assured that "it's a trap!" Oh, and then there's the poor design decisions they made in the game effectively ruining the Scout armor. Yah, stay away from this game.
