Overall a pretty good typical G5 HOG with mini puzzles – Game of Dragons HD (Full) Review

Personally I enjoyed the game although I solved it in a couple of hours. There is a storyline...lost father, evil cousin, dragons, etc. It does have it faults: there is no rational way of telling which "direction" you should be going and there is a lot of back and forth between two and three rooms and to other worlds. I figured out to read the yellow description in the lower left hand corner of the screen which helps to guide you thru your next goal. The red book in the lower left hand corner doesn't help much in navigation at all. The mini games were challenging but not too tough. There are instructions for each mini-game although they left a bit to be desired in the details. The Hidden Object Games (HOG) was very clear although you had to open secret compartments in each scene in order to find all of the items. Some of the items were obscure as is typical of these types of games - eg. playing cards may be hardly visible. You are able to zoom in on the HOG scenes which is helpful to a certain extent. I found no problem with having to read the story. There is a skip option every time a story materialized and the story isn't necessary to proceed with the game. The dialogue of "choose your own response or question" didn't jive at all with what is being said by the character you are talking to so that is essentially a waste of time. You garner nothing from these conversations to assist with the game. Overall G5 did a pretty good job. I got this game for free from the "App of the Day" otherwise I'd have paid no more then $3.00 for the full version as it is a rather short game.
