A Hidden Gem – Trunk Notes Personal Wiki Review

I came upon this in my quest to find a wiki app- linking related notes, I've discovered, is the way my brain organizes information: I want to disentagle, but preserve integrations. This minimalist app does this elegantly, and creatively- my notes appear in Markdown. I'm a nondeveloper, but can tell you that its engine, a script called Lua, is powerful, yet simple, once you get the hang of it. The developer, Matthew, has been clear and responsive, so in a short time, appearance, form, and automation are coming together. It uses plain text and Dropbox sync so it is "future proof." The integration with my Mac, via LAN, ensures privacy, but can use a big of interface tweaking, but this is an esthetic quibble. It won't be before long until I can use this as an Evernote alternative! edit- Despite persistence on the part of the developer, automatic Dropbox sync does not work- manually syncing works, but feels crude.
