Great game plagued with bugs – Don't Starve: Shipwrecked Review

It's an awesome game riddled with numerous bugs but if you can see past that then you'll learn to enjoy the game, good thing the devs are working on this game from time to time and hopefully someday they'll be able to fix most of the bugs since I know it is really hard to have a good game without bugs in it. I guess you sometimes have to learn to ride the wave if you don't want to drown Current Issues/Bugs • there will be a time where the only thing that works is the D-Pad and nothing else leaving you with an option to either restart the game and reset the day which is bad or die accidentally and lose your progress because nothing works which is bad as well. Hence this is one of the game-breaking bugs that happens not only in shipwreck but also in DS:ROG iOS • Hammer will not work using the active buttons, you need to point-hold on an item you want to hammer down which is counter intuitive this is not the case with the OG DS • mangroves take too long to chop down when you use the action buttons but if you just tap on it very quickly the character will chop faster like normal • the chest slots are placed too far up the screen that you wont be able to see the top half clearly • the D-Pad would sometimes pop up while viewing the inventory, almost the same issue with the OG DS • game will occasionally freeze when jumping to a boat and you interrupt it, solution would be to save/quit and relaunch game • Game will render all actions undoable except the D-Pad. The inventory, pause button will be unclickable and the only solution is to relaunch the game which will throw you back in time which is a waste of time Visuals 10/10 Sounds 10/10 Gameplay 8/10
