PLEASE UPDATE THE APP!! – SoundFreaq Remote Review

I love this speaker dock, but...... I bought my speaker dock a few years ago. Nothing has been updated, that I can tell since 2013! I still use this speaker dock for my iPad Air using an adapter since the dock is a 30 pin. Now I keep getting messages from Apple that this app will slow down my iPad if the app is not updated or it will make the speaker dock obsolete as Apple is also saying this app (and speaker-while docking my iPad) WILL NOT WORK with future iOS versions. I don't want that to happen or this purchase was just a waste of money and now I will have to look for something else! So....what is the status of any updates???
