Sea of Lies: Arrrr Here be Pirates! – Sea of Lies: Leviathan Reef - Hidden Objects Review

Enjoyable game from Eipix, going back to the series roots of pirates, pirates and more pirates. This game doesn't suffer quite so much from the issue seen so often in other games, where you get a knife, use it, then lose it, only to look for a shard of glass later on (nice to have a heroine who occasionally holds on to her inventory, at least for a while!). You get a transportable map a little ways into the game, customizable mode of play, collectible bottles in each scene and morphing objects in some of the HOGs. Story isn't terribly original (guess there are only so many options when dealing with pirates) but I found the game interesting enough to keep playing past the demo (who is with the Pirate King, who is with the rebellion and who can you trust?). Heads-up that people do bite the bullet in this game (as opposed to grievously injured and then miraculously revived). I found that out the first time I tried to go back to someone who was shot, only to be told that the person was done for, and best to move on! Upcoming Games from Big Fish Games: (# stars is average review on BigFishGames.com for the PC or Mac version, date is the day the game was first released on any platform - usually PC or Mac) Hidden Expedition: Midgard's End (4 stars, Eipix, Jun '16) Vermillion Watch: Moorgate Accord (3.7 stars, Eipix, Jul. '16)
