Meh. Potential. – Tavern Guardians Review

Has potential. But my first dungeon crawl took like an hour and a half (waaaay too long). I was left with hardly any gold to upgrade my character, too. (So why did I delve for 90 minutes then??) You use the gold you collect during the delve to buy upgrades that you lose when you die. Standard roguelike game. Whatever gold you have left after your run can be spent on upgrades. The problem is that if you just choose to not buy anything with the gold, when you die (which will be maybe 10 minutes without buying upgrades) you have tons of gold to level up your character. This exploit encourages you to just run through quickly then fully level up your character. To remedy this, there should be a point reward based on how deep you delve, and then you'll be encouraged to buy better perks with your gold since you wouldn't be taking the gold with you. Has serious potential. The dungeon dives need to be way shorter and the gold exploit may need some looking at if that wasn't the intended strategy. I assume not because you could plow through this game quickly otherwise.
