Fun! Needs some tweaks – Twisty Board Review

I love this game because it's one of those games you can pick up and play anytime, for as long as you want. With a few little tweaks it could be so, so much better tho. It needs to start more slowly - give players a chance to get the hang of it before the speed increases so much. Speed should increase as the players skill increases. The other most important thing I'd change is to make it 100 instead of 200 to be able to get a new character. That's the main reward for me- new characters - so if it's too hard to earn them I lose interest. Lesser (but still would really make it better to play) edits include things like making less missiles fired at you in the beginning- it just gets too fast and furious too early in the game. I haven't got the hang of it enough to avoid them yet, so I keep crashing and lose interest. Again, keep the difficulty increasing in proportion to the player's skill/ time spent. It's a pacing issue - if this game were paced a little more evenly it would be more fun. I really like the graphics, they are cute, clever and really beautifully done. The concept is super, it just needs a little refining.
