Great station but awful app – KJZZ Phoenix Review

We love KJZZ and NPR, but the app streaming performance is so bad we rarely listen unless in the car via old-school FM radio. The streaming version consistently hangs up (it says 'Buffering'), across all devices - iPad, iPhone, desktop, and streaming from the KJZZ site. We have no problems streaming movies and music via Spotify, Amazon, and google using the same hardware and wifi. I contacted their tech support, and while polite, they were not able to help. It's amazing the station would ask listeners to donate to support a station they can't reliably listen to.
