Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME. – Threesquare Review

Anyone who doesn't realize the "play for real money" portion of this app is a scam deserves to lose their money on this crooked app. If you haven't already done the math, I'll do it for you: It takes a $0.60 bet from two players to win $1. This means that of the total $1.20, $1 goes to the winner and $0.20 goes to Skillz (the app developer) so the more games they get you to play, the more money they make. They accomplish this by running daily competitions to incentivized you to play more games and win "prize money". This might as well be monopoly money because you can never cash it out. You just have to keep playing until you lose it. And if you try to cash out any of your existing real money, they'll tell you that you have to forfeit all of the "prize money" you won if you do. It gets worse: they do something sneaky that is marketed as "fair" by saying that they match you with someone "of similar skill level". (Can you imagine if they did that with poker players at casinos?? LOL!) Assuming they do this correctly with their fancy algorithm (which obviously just averages player scores), the odds of you or your opponent winning should be about 50/50 since you are being "evenly matched". This means that if you win 50% of the games, you're still losing money because the house is taking a $0.20 rake for every game being played. The ONLY WAY to be profitable is to win two games for every one that you lose: two games won = $2, three buy-ins at $0.60 each = $1.80. A WHOPPING $0.20 profit!!! But wait--how are you supposed to consistently win 2/3 games if you're matched at the same skill level?? Its truly comical of you think about it. This is a highly unethical business model for Skillz, shame on them. Don't let these thieves capitalize on your stupidity.
