Nike Run Club Review – Nike Run Club: Running Coach Review

Let me start by saying, you don't release a complete overhaul as an "update". Nike Run Club should have been released as a new app, and then the other app could have been phased out over time. I'm not even going to get into how you forced this on everyone right in the middle of training.?? BUGS: One of the things I actually like about the new app is the ability to edit the training schedule, but...it's doing some crazy things. For example I didn't get to run Sat so I moved my long run to Sun. Simply swapped with a rest day. No problem. Until I finished my run... it gave me the option to assign the run but only to the workouts earlier in the week(which were already done). The long run was gone. Went and looked at my plan and I had three rest days in a row. What??Then the next day I realized my next week was screwed with too. That's where the extra rest day came from. Editing one week SHOULD NOT EFFECT OTHER WEEKS! Since I started writing this my schedule has changed several more times...Give me a plan and I will edit it as I need to, PLEASE DO NOT EDIT IT FOR ME! So I'm taking my time writing this, I want to make sure I don't leave anything out. My schedule has changed AGAIN. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF RUNNING, STOP THE MADNESS! "Congratulations, you've reached your goal of 0.0 miles." Confused? Yeah me too... Especially since I started through the coach with a set distance. It didn't tell me when I reached my set 3.25 miles, however it did tell me when I went 3 miles beyond my goal... I ran my fastest half in 12:02. That's 12 minutes and two seconds. Whaaaaaaat? Actually I'm currently training for my FIRST half. That data is linked to an 8 mile run, but still makes no sense, I most certainly did not do the 8 miles in 12:02 either. I would very much like to get my notification of my fastest half, when I actually finish my first half next month. Every time I check my weight it says 72lbs. I have changed it several times and it keeps going back. If I weighed 72lbs I would be in the hospital hooked to an IV... GIVE IT BACK: Emoticons! I really dislike the new effort bar. The effort does not gauge how the workout felt. I can do a challenging run one day and feel awful and put in the same effort another day and feel great. The training progress bar. The green bar inching to my goal was a great motivator! The old way to post to Facebook/Instagram. Much simpler. Please stop forcing me to post to the Nike newsfeed if I want to share elsewhere. Hate the new post for fb cheers too. The old way updated after you finished your run to actually reflect the miles completed. I don't need my fb page filled with pointless green blocks that give no info. Challenges Trophies! Why should I have to log on the website to see my trophies!?? NEEDS: Audio cues for speedwork, automatic pause/start for each interval with the ability to preset desired rest time. Shouldn't speedwork be "hands free"?!? The benchmark had a nice audio guide through the whole thing. Can we not have that for speedwork??? The ability to add/remove rest days and NTC days. The ability to assign a run to the training plan. I now see this option on my latest runs. On the past few weeks it is not available. When my week says 1/5 workouts completed, it bugs me...immensely... My OCD tendencies need that 5/5. Ability to retire a shoe! Where did this option go? Is it hiding somewhere? My retired shoes are back and haunting me! It automatically puts the shoes I don't even own anymore! I see other people posting about other problems as well. These are just the ones that have personally affected me. Was this app even beta tested?? Please fix this mess!
