Great portable workout – Aaptiv: #1 Audio Fitness App Review
I stumbled across this app and had to give it a try. Audio is the best way to do a yoga workout, imho. Less distracting and more portable than a video.
The interface was easy. I used the filters to search for a yoga workout less than 30 minutes. "Upbeat Stretch" by Amanda was exactly what I was looking for.
Amanda's workout was great. I've been doing yoga for 10 years, but Amanda talked me through all these tiny adjustments that made a big difference.
This workout never put weight on the knees, so I didn't even need a mat. I did the first half on kitchen tile and the second half on my garden patio. So convenient.
Another big convenience is being able to pause and resume. I was able to catch my breath, brew my coffee, and drink it. This is huge for those of us who get interrupted by little kids.
At $9.99 a month, I think I'll need a lot of variety to keep me loyal, and I don't have access to gym equipment. Please add Pilates!!!
Some walking/strength routines would also be cool. I'd love to get a workout while getting somewhere. Pokemon Go already has everyone acting goofy on the sidewalks.
Can you also further increase the instructor diversity? It's a little depressing to be older than all the instructors. I find it really motivating to work out with a grandma who is great shape!
