App got too complicated and lost some usability – Wildfire - College Audio Rooms Review

I was an early proponent of wildfire, but I will be honest: There was so much doom and gloom, never lightened up by even the remotest positive update, I uninstalled it. My daughter did the same. The negativity is ongoing, which is a problem with any app set to promote bad things. Now several months later, I thought I would give it another try, see if the programmers have altered its dynamic. Before, I was using it to see what was up in crime-ridden Berkeley as my daughter goes to school there. I assume many parents would be like-minded. Now, it seems I can no longer access the Berkeley map. I CAN get email alerts, which I don't want, for a number of reasons, one being inconsequential negative stuff popping up constantly. And I mean constantly because something is always up over there, even if it's just a fender-bender. So my reason for using it has now been erased. Second, I am now FORCED to choose my current location, which is basically not functional, and which I am not interested in. So I guess I am re-uninstalling - for now. I suggest if the email alerts are the only way to let people in other areas know what's up, there is a coded tier system that people can choose, one for all alerts, another for those deemed mid-tier, and a top one that involves assaults, bodily harm, robberies, etc.
