Overseas must have - but need to fix lost lists bug – CityMaps2Go Pro Offline Maps Review

I have been using this app for years, in a variety of countries. I love being able to find my location without cellular data, and to be able to save places of interest to different lists. I recommend it to anyone going overseas. Even if not going overseas/if you have cellular data, it is still much easier to use and manage bookmarked places than my phones native map app. Having said that, twice I have irretrievably lost my saved places lists. Once was after performing downloading an app update (despite never having lost my lists before during updates). I lost hundreds of saved places across a number of lists and maps, representing years of travel. Gone. The other time was this morning... inexplicably. No upgrade had been performed as far as I know, but when I tried to save a place to my existing London list which had over 100 places saved to it, but after I saved, my London list had only 1 place saved (the one I just saved). ..and all of a sudden I had a bunch of lists for countries I've never been. Very buggy. I've never created a citymaps2go account to back up my saved lists; I hate apps that force you to create accounts. If the app can't assure you that you will not randomly lose your lists at any time, then they should probably force you to create an account to save places. Preferably, they'd fix whatever bugs are causing this to happen in the first place. /rant :D I do love this app. Just bummed about repeatedly losing what I've saved.
