Question and suggestion – Pedometer++ Review

I downloaded the app a couple of weeks ago. Somehow it knew my steps from the previous three days. I don't have an Apple Watch so how did it come up with that useful info? Based on experience since it seems accurate. Suggest you add a way I can increase my step total to account for steps taken when the iPhone is not on me. I am recovering from hip surgery and need an accurate count. And unless Apple makes a Mickey Mouse Apple Watch I will not buy an Apple Watch. Otherwise this is Way better than other pedometer apps I have tried
