Love the concept, poor execution – Swamp Castle Review

Really wanted to like this one, but can't recommend it. The writing is okay with occasional typos and logic errors. Things seem to happen randomly. Important game design information is hidden from the player. Do I have enough troops to defeat the enemy? *shrug* Do I have enough strength to defeat the barbarian king? *shrug* The frequency of game over possibilities makes this game play more like a series of Quick Time Events (choose the right things in the correct order or lose) than an interactive fiction game with branching paths and interesting consequences for choices.
