Past tense affirmations? – I Am Bliss Mirror Affirmations Review

One of the affirmations says, "I chose to be happy." Chose? Why not, "I choose to be happy" or simply "I am happy" like the other affirmations that state "I am"? Sounds like someone one isn't roof-reading these before publication. Reading the word 'chose' really interrupted my 'blissful' run of affirmations.
