Wasted money – Nemo's Reef Review

One might argue that all in app purchases are wasted money, but I use to buy things in this app for my son. We haven't played in a long time, but we watched the new Dory movie which renewed his interest. We opened the app and everything was gone!!! I looked up how to restore it and they want a ridiculous amount of information that my son does not remember. The original reef name, approximate number of pearls, last date played, etc... Wasted money?
