Love the concept but results seem odd? – BitCam Review

I really love the concept and appreciate the effort. That said I feel like the results I am getting in the camera roll and after-the-fact are a little different than what I'm seeing when I'm actually taking the photo. The results that end up in my photos app camera roll seem higher quality and a little too "nice looking" compared to the retro look I'm going for when I take a photo. Has anyone else seen this?
