This app will make you want to throw your Go in a tree chipper – Withings Health Mate Review

While customer service is fairly responsive, they really don't understand the app or the hardware they are supporting. You'll be told you need to set the Go to be .worn on the wrist in order to track your sleep even though your e-mail just said your Go was set to be worn on your wrist. Sleep detection is completley useless. Sit down to read a book for a couple of hours and it thinks you're asleep and won't think you're sleeping when you really go to bed a couple of hours later. Good luck getting steps to sync in a timely manner. Sometimes you'll be waiting over two hours for your steps to sync and no attempts to force a manual sync will work. The time of last sync is useful but when the app shows you have 16,000 steps but your Go shows you've done over 20,000 steps, all it does is reduce your trust in the reliability of the app. Try to force a sync every couple of minutes for an hour and maybe, if you're lucky, it will finally sync your last set of steps 2.5 hours later. When set to be worn on your wrist, it often thinks you're activity is swimming which might acount for the inaccuracy in step counts. Walk 1,000 steps and after it finallly decides to sync, you will sometimes see the actiivty as swimming and the step count when you change the ativity is nowhere near accurate. Both the app and the firmware for this new device needs a *LOT* of work.
