Laggy and poor design – Everand: Ebooks and audiobooks Review

I got this app a few moments ago, and unlike other people, I'm not disappointed with the price—it prices out to around $2.25 a thing, which is significantly less than the cost of a book (unless you find it at a thrift store). The lag time when I tried to read the sample of a book, however, was ridiculous. The file wouldn't even open for ten minutes and then I couldn't turn the pages. In terms of design, I found it frustrating to try and find a book to sample. None of the "new" titles are actually new. Also they all seemed really uninteresting. Only three titles piqued my interest, so I wish there was a better way for the app to make recommendations. When Scribd first launched the subscription model, it was touted as the Netflix of books, but on Netflix, there's a section that asks for you to rate a bunch of titles. Scribd really needs to swipe this feature before it can be really useful.
