We can always be friends?? – Squaready Review

When I first met Squaready, I was only 19 years old. My friend introduced me to 'him' one night at a party. I was blown away by his charm and minimalist style. We have flirted heavily throughout the years, as he has helped me be able to fit any vertical or horizontal picture into a simple, clean square. He has helped me turn my Instagram into an aesthetically pleasing sensation, making me look original and artistic. Even the most boring photo of a plant became something that my tumblr followers would beg more for. You could even say that we founded the entire 'soft goth' scene together. We were unstoppable. Just me and Squaready and eternity. With Squaready by my side, anything seemed possible. Today I opened Squaready to edit a mundane picture of pastel colored gym lockers. After he finished fitting my photo into that same, familiar square that always puts a smile on my face, suddenly, an ad for Uber appeared. "Uber?! What are you doing here?" I thought. I watched the :15 second advertisement and continued to square another photo. When I pressed save, an ad for Colgate Toothpaste appeared! This time the video was :30 long, and I could not exit out of it. Then it happened again and again. With 35 images to square, how could I possibly sit through potentially another 10+ minutes of ads (35 photos x :30 seconds each) throughout the entire process of saving my photos? I don't have time for that. And just like that...I left him. Gave him the cold shoulder and deleted him off my iPhone. We had a good run and I will never forget the memories we shared together. I will always cherish them. Squaready, I hope one day you will realize that no one wants to sit through ads every time they save an edited photo. I don't know what happened to you but...things are different.
