I think these guys watch Sequelitis. – Venture Kid Review

They basically took everything that made a retro game perfect yet still make it feel unique. It feels like mega man and mimics a lot of the same mechanics but the level design and feel of the game is wonderful. Sure, it's kinda of a clone but why fix what isn't broken? At the end of the day it's a great game that I'd recommend to anybody with a fetish for challenging, old school gaming.
